We are excited to offer an opportunity to join Kineya Mugimaru as a Fryer. In this role, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, ensuring that high-quality food is prepared and served to our guests. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills will help us maintain our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
- Follow food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.
- Adhere to kitchen policies and procedures, including dress code, attendance, and punctuality.
- Prepare and maintain appropriate tempura stock for front of house (FOH) display and kitchen operations.
- Prepare flour and vegetables in advance for the following day’s frying needs.
- Liaise with the head chef to ensure adequate stock levels of prepped vegetables and seafood items.
- Ensure punctuality and reliable attendance to maintain seamless kitchen operations.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a kitchen with proficient knife skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality food.
- Part-time availability with flexibility and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects in a kitchen environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills, especially in forecasting and maintaining adequate tempura stock for display.
- Knowledge of good food hygiene practices.
